A good book is a safe place. A place to get away to, a place to look forward to. Akimbo has so quickly become a place for Rochester that embodies the same getaway vibe. A woman owned bookstore and community space, which holds community events for bipoc/lgbtq+ and all people to come and feel at home.
Last month Akimbo suffered major damages from a fire in their building, in only their first year of business Akimbo is faced with relocating and rebuilding. As Kitty Box Press was there to help Akimbo find their first location, we want to help in making the move a little easier, and start a new chapter!
